Mine is a little tender.

While I found the eclipse to be really beautiful and grounded and gentle, this week has been a little chaotic and a few old stories rerunning on loop in my mind.

I write about Venus and its realm - love, pleasure, devotion - a lot. Not because I have the answers, but because this is where my curiosity has always led me. I’ve long been drawn to the matters of the heart. And I’ve long expressed them through my art.

Venus is currently retrograding through Pisces, the constellation of dreams, dissolving boundaries and unconditional love. It’s a time for reflection. A soft review. And maybe it’s worth reflecting on how we navigate boundaries - in our relationships and in our creative practice.

Boundaries, like most things, are a very nuanced concept.

There was a wave of pop-psychology a few years ago that was all about enforcing boundaries on people in your life that were infringing your peace. I heard again and again: Say no. Walk away. Block them. Move on.
